Ukraine’s Agribusiness To Attract USD30 Billion in the Next Ten Years

Ukrainian Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Mykila Prysyazhnyuk has stated that the Ukrainian government is taking steps to ensure that the conditions for investment in agricultural businesses were clear, transparent and predictable leading to increased interest from foreign investors, and went on to state that within the next ten years agro-industrial companies in the country will attract up to USD30 billion in investments.  In 2012 the Ukrainian agricultural sector raised approximately USD2 billion in capital investments – 11% higher than in 2011, and in May the Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food forecasted that in 2013 Ukrainian agricultural producers would secure investments amounting to USD3 billion – 50% higher than 2012.  To read more about Ukraine’s Economic Development Program and investment projects currently underway in the country’s agricultural sector:
