After exploring plans for expansion, Australia’s largest privately owned milk supplier, Melbourne-based United Dairy Power is seeking to sell a portion of the company to an Australian investor. United Dairy Power buys milk, provides logistical and transportation services as well as manufactures cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, butter and whey powder. The company also owns two factories at Jervais and Murray Bridge in Southern Australia. Some potential buyers have valued the company at between $30 million and $40 million based on cash flow, however management of United Dairy will not comment upon valuation.
