North Carolina-based SPX Corp. announced it has been awarded a contract worth $50 million from Synutra France International, a subsidiary of Synutra International Inc., one of the leading infant nutrition companies supplying China. The contract is for SPX to establish a powdered infant formula processing plant that will use SPX Flow Technology to process and convert milk and dairy ingredients into infant formula and whey products for export to China. The plant will be constructed in the Brittany region of France and is scheduled to begin operations in 2015. SPX has helps companies expand the capacity of their production plants and has expertise in liquid dairy and dairy powder processing systems.
